About Gros-Ite Precision Spindle

Gros-Ite Precision Spindle, located in Farmington CT, was founded in 1981. We occupy a modern 20,800 square foot building in which all our design, engineering, repairing, rebuilding, testing and inspection is performed under ISO 9001: 2000 certification. We are preeminent Design and Builders of Precision Ball and Roller Bearing Spindles as well as Hydrostatic Spindles and Precision Rotary Tables and other Slides and Devices.

In addition to our standard spindle line, we have the capability to design and manufacture custom spindles to suit any of your manufacturing needs up to 100 HP and speeds in excess of 100,000 RPM.

Our spindle repair service can recondition all brands of precision Ball, Roller or Hydrostatic bearing spindles, domestic or foreign, as well as provide emergency spindle repair in as little as 48 hours when needed.

All the rotating components in each Gros-Ite Spindle are dynamically balanced to the strictest balancing tolerances anywhere and then completely assembled in our Clean Room. Each spindle is thoroughly tested through the full range of speeds too insure proper break in of the bearings as well as superior quality. Vibration and temperature readings that are recorded during the break in period are provided to you along with your spindle. All Gros-Ite spindles, both new or repair, carry a full one year warranty from date of shipment.
